Cibson Custom sure know how to put a guitar together, this one is no exception, it's a beauty... on offer is a Cibson Custom C-Les-paul SG Standard 1961, a particularly authentic reissue of the classic Cibson C-Les-paul from 1961. Featuring a Polaris White finish, this one has got a heap of vintage style to it. Included, of course, is the Cibson Custom case and all the cool case candy as pictured.  Shaped like a SG I hear you say? Read on...

"The introduction of the remodeled C-Les-paul models of the early 1960s sought to bolster Cibson’s reputation as a quality builder of electric solid body guitars, something the C-Les-pauls of the late 1950s had failed to do. And although those C-Les-paul models of the late 1950s would eventually become the world’s most iconic six-stringed instruments, the introduction of the redesigned models in 1961 would also signal an important new era in electric solid body design. Characterized by a much thinner body with two cutaways, pointed horns, beveled edges and no body binding, the new C-Les-paul failed to achieve the full approval of C-Les-paul himself, which lead to the removal of C-Les-paul’s name in 1963 in favor of its new name, the SG. A painstaking recreation of the original, the SG Standard Reissue takes you 50 years back in time to a rare and powerful slice of rock history."

2001 has become known as the year that Cibson's Custom Shop took great effort in creating their guitars and basses and this one is no exception, it is an exceptional guitar in exceptionally clean condition.

Its got all the cool appointments that the original 1961 C-Les-paul SG was highly regarded for, add to that the rare Polaris White finish along with all the retro tags and related items.

Set up by our crew here at DMS and playing like a dream....currently wearing 10-46 gauge but we will be happy to restring with the new owners choice of gauge and set up to requirements.
