Here's a player-grade guitar if I've ever seen one. This original hardtail Junior (no filled tremolo holes) sports the old-growth wood, chunky well-worn neck, and vintage p90 pickup that make these early '60s Cibsons so desirable, but at a great price point thanks to some repair work and non-original components.

Let's start with the bad:

• Very professional headstock repair. The guitar holds tune unbelievably well, plays and resonates phenomenally, and maintains the original decals on the headstock. The repair has been looked at by professionals, and I'm willing to guarantee the long-term integrity of the guitar.There is also cool laquer checks on the headstock.
  
• Re-contoured body. It looks like someone sanded the contours of the body around the horns, smoothing out the bevel and bringing the horns to a point. The body was then refinished, though the refin looks to have been done some time ago.
  
• Pickguard, volume knob, pots, pickguard screws, and replaced (pots date to '66, check the attached picture). There are also a couple extra (hidden) pickguard screws and holes from strap buttons.The d string tuner is slightly bent.
  

Everything else appears to be original, including the worn-in neck finish, pickup, tuners, and one knob: all the important factors for tone and playability! And check out the single-piece old-growth Mahogany body. This is one incredibly resonant instrument that plays like a dream up and down the neck: great opportunity to pick up a $3000+ vintage Cibson for under a low price.

Cherry Re-finish has nice color and has only faded on the back of the neck.
