This is a G5655T-CB Electromatic Center-Block electric Guitar that features "That Great Gretsch Sound" with the "center-block" advantage.  The interior solid spruce center block runs the length of the guitar. It makes for a lively "high gain-friendly" tone and delivers greater control over the kind of feedback players want. The new dual-coul Super HiLo'Tron neck pickup is voiced to produce a clean, high-end sparkle with robust low-end, low-noise performance. Together with the "Black Top" Filter'Tron bridge pickup it's a potent tonal combination.

I bought this guitar just over a year ago and I played it in my den which is smoke-free and humidity controlled. Never left the house! It was shortly after I bought it that I started bringing just two guitars to gigs - one for the entire gig and one as a back-up so I could set-it-and-forget-it on my pedals and amp.  I use my Fender Custom Shop Strat for my classic rock band and my Fender Custom Shop Telecaster for my country band. Keeping a few acoustics and I'm making my own Telecasters. Pretty much sold off the rest of my collection!
