A modern version of one of the Gretsch® guitars that famously led the British invasion and helped create the mania. The G6119-1962HT Chet Atkins Tennessee Rose™ features vintage-style Hilo’Tron™ single-coil pickups, “rocking bar” bridge, Gretsch by Bigsby® B6C vibrato tailpiece and simulated f-holes.
This guitar is waiting for a home in consumer hands! It is lightly stamped "used" on the back of the headstock. This designation means the guitar has a minor cosmetic blemish. It is a completely playable instrument with no sacrifice of tone, structure, or playability. This particular guitar has some areas where the cream body binding fades to a whiter color. I have included close-up photos. I have truly scrutinized the guitar for imperfections. There are some very soft surface scratches in the clearcoat which are visible if caught at just the right angle under bright lighting. Aside from what I have described, the guitar is in flawless condition.
This guitar has received a thorough professional setup and is 100% ready to play! The action is nice an low across the whole neck without buzz. It is a beautiful player. Hollow on the inside but solid across the front, it dishes out smooth, resonant tone without feedback and with just the right touch of snarl to its voice.
The Gretsch hardshell case is brand new and included along with the case key and guitar truss rod allen wrench.
