Here is a fantastic 12-string Lowden guitar that is a rare find because of it’s condition at this age and the beautiful sound.
According to Lowden's site, this guitar was built circa 1982/83. It was built under license from George Lowden by the S Yairi Nagoya workshop in Japan. These were made from all solid woods as opposed to the ones made later in the K Yairi shop.  About 6000 Lowdens were crafted in this workshop between 1980 and 1985. The workmanship is top-notch and this particular instrument is now a 30+ year-old beauty that plays and sounds great. I would put the quality on par with any Irish made Lowden I've ever seen!

It's in amazing condition. The top, back and sides are in pristine condition and the grain is beautiful. There are a couple of minor dings on the headstock and on the back of the neck but nothing serious. Honestly it looks better than many guitars just a few years old. I feel pretty certain it spent most of its life in the case under someone's bed!
The cedar/mahogany combination give it a warmth and clarity that I’ve never heard in a 12 string. Sounds like a dream and handles open tunings really well. Loads of room left on the saddle. The five piece neck, which has an adjustable truss rod, is in great shape with the string action at 3/32”. Fret wear is minimal.  It comes with a hard shell case also in excellent condition.
