 1994 Martin HJ-28 M HJ28 HJ 28 Herringbone Jumbo Acoustic-Electric Guitar. Martin guitar of the month with only 72 made!

Set Up: Professionally set up with brand new Martin SP med gauge Phosphor Bronze strings.

Body: Double bound body solid spruce top with aging toner. Ivoroid & herringbone binding. Solid mahogany back & sides with Herringbone strip down the middle of the back. Macassar ebony bridge with bone saddle & tortoise-style pickguard. 16" lower bout width; 11 3/4" upper bout width; nearly 5" body depth

Neck:  Mahogany neck joins the body at the 14th fret. Macassar ebony fingerboard with abalone diamond inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Schaller chrome tuners with ebony buttons & abalone "M" inlays on both sides. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length.

Pickups/Electronics: Active piezo pickup system under the bridge saddle with battery mounted to neck block. There are no volume or tone controls, just the straight signal.

Playability/Sound:  Playability / Sound: Nice, low action; smooth playing neck; gorgeous tone - very well balanced & vibrant with great sound projection.

Case: Original hardshell case included.

This guitar was specially built in 1994 and signed by C.C. Martin IV.  It was a part of their guitar of the month series.  I was really hot to get one for one of my customers but they are just not around to be snatched up.  Finally, one showed up, got bought and shipped and OMG!!!! UPS damaged it. So, now I have it again and your opportunity begins. The damage has been professionally repaired and the guitar plays perfectly and looks beautiful. I have the repair pics in the listing so you can see how hard it is to see them.

About Cancellations and Returns

We accept returns as stated in our written policy. We accept returns per the following conditions: Returned product and retail packaging must be same as shown in auction pic. For authorization, Email us within 10 days. Item must be shipped within 14 days of receipt. Please do not ship unless emailed to do so. Returns must ship prepaid, insured and arrive safely. Regardless of return reason, seller s&h costs are deducted from refund.  Markdown items are not eligible for refund. Due to costs and shipping risks returns are not accepted from International buyers. Restocking fee is 10% ($16.00 minimum) 

Once you have purchased or won an item you are expected to complete the transaction. Under no circumstance do we accept cancellation after purchase unless ebay policy provides for such. Used guitars that are listed as “Pristine are perfect.” They are “as new” so nothing to talk about.  “Mint” are  9.0 to 9.95 condition. In our opinion it is very difficult for a used guitar to be a perfect 10. We do describe any meaningful issues at the top of the listing.  If they are minor, we do not note esthetic issues such as pick marks or not thru the finish rubs and scratches on back; expect them. We always note if a case or other accessories are included. Cases and other accessories are not included unless stated or pictured in listing. If unclear, please email questions before you buy, Our replies are frank.

Payment: Payment is customarily made within 1 to 3 days. If there is to be a delay, heads up from you will be appreciated. Safest Payment:  We prefer payment by Visa, MasterCard or discover. Our superior standing and solid financial status qualifies us to accept Credit cards eliminating the need to offer the autocratic “service” of PayPal.
