Seit 1985 baut David Iannone nun schon Morgan Guitars in Kanada. Er beschreibt seine Arbeit als "eine unermüdliche Suche nach besten Materialien und ein endloses Streben nach Detailgenauigkeit. Es ist eine Mischung aus Technik, Mühe und bewusstem Anspruch." Mit dieser Philosophie baut er herausragende Gitarren. Es sind weniger als 100 Stück im Jahr, aber sie sind sehr gefragt.

Diese OM wurde etwa 1997 gebaut, sie ist in exzellentem bis nahezu neuwertigem Zustand und hat nur minimale Spielspuren sowie ein paar kleine Dellen im Finish. Die Decke ist aus Sitka-Fichte, der Boden und die Zargen sind aus indischem Palisander. Das Binding ist aus Mahagoni und wird von schwarz-weißen Schmuck-Einlagen flankiert. Der Mahagoni-Hals trägt ein Ebenholz-Griffbrett mit Ivoroid-Binding, auch der Steg und das Kopfplattenfurnier sind aus Ebenholz. Die Gitarre hat Gotoh Tuner und eine Sattelbreite von 45 mm, die Mensurlänge beträgt 650 mm und das Stringspacing 57 mm. Sehr gut für Fingerstyle. Diese Morgan OM-R ist ausgereift und klingt sehr offen, außerdem spielt sie sich besonders komfortabel, Saitenlage und Setup sind hervorragend. Wir liefern sie im Hartschalenkoffer.
