The new Martin DCX1AE Macassar combines timeless looks with cuttin edge manufacturing concepts to produce a guitar with stellar tone and playability, priced for the working musician. 

The top is solid Sitka spruce for a dynamic top tone with excellent acoustic projection. This sits atop sides and a back of a high-pressure laminate with a Macassar finish. The voice of the DCX1AE is full and vibrant, with well-controlled low end, brilliant top end, and a warm woody color. 

A true focal center of the DCX1AE is the stunning neck. Constructed from Brown Birch laminate, it has the Performing Artist profile which provides a slimmer profile for super 'fatique-free' comfort for, even, the longest late night gig. The fretboard is Richlite for excellent feel and tone. 

The wonderful acoustic tone of the DCX1AE is captured and faithfully reproduced by the on-board Fishman Sonitone electronics. This musical and responsive system delivers great authentic acoustic tone wether onstage or in the studio. The volume and tone controls are mounted just inside the top of the soundhole for easy and quick access.

8. Due to new USPS guidelines- certain countries will not accept USPS packages over 42". If that is the case, we can remove the neck or, if it is a set/neck-thru we can ship Fedex International for an additional charge.
