Submitted for your approval--and highest bid:

One (1) original folk art piece done with acrylics on a Acoustic Guitar, portraying  Folk Rock musician Neil Young, by northern California artist Michele de Onate.

Michele's eclectic artistic stylings are on full display here with her latest creation, which she titles simply "Hey Hey, My My". This lovely item has been partially hand-painted by one of the west coast's most esteemed talents. No patterns or stencils were used, just the meticulous brush strokes of Michele.

Selectively covered with two coats of spray sealant to ensure a long life, it features a delightful multi-colored depiction of the legendary guitarist and songwriter, holding his own guitar in poses from two different eras, on the top surface of a full sized, 6-string, 20-fret guitar. The phrase "It's Better To Burn Out Than To Fade Away", is presented in stylized lettering, as is the man's name.

It would make a wonderful addition to any music-themed collector's interior decor, or even accentuate your own menagerie of fine folk art. Display the piece by itself or in a room with your favorite collection of hand-painted art of a similar design. Observe the fine detail work of Michele's latest creation and you will witness the whimsical mood she evokes in this wonderfully lovely piece.

The guitar itself is a FirstAct , manufactured in the 1990s, and has had some use put into it. The instrument is a dreadnought-style guitar with adjustable, bolt-on neck and measures a full 37 inches long. NOTE: The guitar has signs of wear, but is fully strung and totally playable, with a decent tone. The action does need a bit of work for optimum performance, but it's a fine beginner's instrument. The neck is firm and solid and the frets are all without excessive wear. There's been NO serious damage done to the instrument, just some light surfaces scratches to the top which have been painted over. We think it would look great just hanging on a wall or as a mantelpiece, but feel to put it to use as intended. Featured artwork is in Mint Condition, having been recently completed, dated and hand signed by the artist. The fine artistic detail can be seen in the accompanying photos. No folk art collector should be without this wonderful, original work of fine art.

Happily, this restriction applies only to a small fraction of our listings. When in doubt, please ask about our return policy prior to buying or bidding on an item.

We appreciate your understanding of our position on this matter.
