RARE Hohner Carribean Island "blue" Pearl Electric Guitar with REO History?

Up for sale is a rare/hard to find Hohner Caribbean Island "blue" Electric Guitar.  Cosmetically this guitar is in great condition and I'm not aware of any problems but I don't have a means to test this electric guitar. - Based on it's cosmetic condition it does not appear to have been abused or handled roughly.  Finish may have some light swirls but generally this guitar is in very nice cosmetic condition and comes with a very nice Superior Softshell case.

History:  The story behind this guitar is that it was owned by a serious collector who had acquired quite a few guitars from famous musicians as evidenced in part by pictures with each of these famous band members.  This guitar was sold with the others at an estate sale when this collector passed away.  This Hohner "Caribbean Island" Guitar was allegedly donated by now deceased REO Speedwagon band member Gary Richrath who donated it to a Charity Event in or near his home town of Peoria IL.  Adding credibility to this story was that the guitar was purchased from this collector's estate sale in Illinois.  There is no documentation to substantiate this story but it comes across as plausible from a reliable source.  Perhaps there is a way to find documentation or photos somewhere that could support this story.
