Rare Vintage 1964 Herk Favilla f12h 12 String Acoustic Guitar Made In USA.

This guitar was handmade at the Long Island NY shop in May of 1964 by Herk Favilla. It was #2 in a group of 12. Serial number is #500024. This information was provided by Tom Favilla.

A special model was the 12 string guitar, model F12H, about 60 per year were built from 1962 to 1973. The "H" designation after the model number was for the dreadnaught body size, actually a little fuller than that represented by the Martin D series. Its six string companion was the popular model F-8H which was rated equal to the Martin D-18.

I had it looked at by my local guitar shop and a professional guitar playing friend before posting it up for sale. There are a few minor imperfections to mention but both said to leave it alone and sell It as is. The frets look incredible for its age. The neck is straight. The sound is fantastic. Only 60 made per year from 1962-1973.

Condition: There are 3 imperfections.
First: The bridge cracked a long time ago and was professionally repaired. The crack line is still there (See Pic) but it is perfectly stable. Second: There is a hairline crack (See 2 Pics) going from the bottom middle of the front of the guitar up to the sound hole. Does not affect sound. Third: There is a hairline finish crack (See Pic) on the bottom back of the.guitar. Has no affect on the sound.

This guitar comes with the case. Item will be packed with care.
