Notice the label says 'Everything Axe Set".  The small silver sticker on the front says STK-S4 SET.  It appears Duncan ran out of box labels when they put this set together for me.  As you can tell, the pickups are actually the STK-S4, and not the pickups contained in the Everything Axe Set.

No, I did not open this set.  It is exactly as received from Duncan.

For a classic Stratocaster sound that's dead quiet, upgrade your Strat style guitar with this calibrated set of Classic Stack Plus pickups.

The Classic Stack Plus is the ultimate advancement in hum-free Strat tone.  The top coil gets the tone, the bottom coil kills the hum.  Built like a traditional Strat pickup coil with symmetrically staggered, sand-cast Alnico 5 pole pieces, the top coil delivers that authentic Strat "chime".  What's different is how it's shielded with a proprietary "flux transfer plate", which attracts hum and "injects" it into the much smaller bottom coil, whose sole purpose is to eliminate the hum.  For maximum hum-canceling, we also calibrate each individual Stack Plus pickup with a Helmholtz coil.  Its the combination of a unique magnetic structure, testing, that allows the Stack Plus to achieve extraordinarily low levels of 60 cycle hum.

If you choose to split these pickups for true single-coil operation, you'll still get hum-canceling in positons 2 and 4 thanks to the reverse-wound,reverse polarity middle pickup.

Please note that the Stack Plus is .995" (25.27mm) tall, which makes it .175" (4.45mm) taller than a vintage pickup for Strat guitars.
