USA Tobias Growler Bass "Merlot", Bartolini pickup / preamp

Up for sale is this very beautiful Tobias Growler bass.  Select ash body, with Merlot finish over open-pore wood, 3-piece maple/rosewood neck with rosewood reinforcement stripe in the middle, and exotic Wenge fretboard. For electronics it's got a QUAD-coil Bartolini humbucker pickup, cast in epoxy to eliminate any unwanted noise, and an active Bartolini preamp, giving you control over High, Mid, and Low frequencies, a "Pan Pot" that lets you balance between pickup coils getting different sounds, and a master volume. The volume pot is a Push/Pull that lets you engage "Slap Tone" specifically voiced for slap style playing, which is a really cool, useful feature.The bass is in fantastic shape, it's got a couple small surface scratches and marks, all in the finish, none really visible unless you look real close.Comes with a quality padded gig bag. Bass was professionally set up for low action, and it literally is one of the best playing (and sounding) basses I ever had. You won't be disappointed!
