....has a great late 50's vibe!    RARE DARK BROWN!!!!    This is the perfect 1950's handle to restore a number of early Fender cases.........with art deco stripes in the middle.

This is an original 1951 / 1952 Fender case handle in dark brown, and kind of a bakelite/plastic material.  This one is in awesome original condition...only very light normal handling wear...excellent condition overall.

Comes with a set of brass axle pins.....allows installation on your preexisting case brackets when the "spinning" type axle is used.  Email me if you are uncertain what you have.

 Install:

Measuring from center of leg to center of leg: 4 and 3/8 inches...standard size for many early Fender cases.

 Cut off the old pins if they are still there, with wire-cutters.   Then, to install the axles, slide the axle through the handle and case hardware so that the open end of the axle points to the inside of the handle. Then, use a small hammer to "ball pien" the open axle end, creating a burr which locks the axle and handle in place. This is the same process used at the factory and it will have a factory appearance. Works great! (TIP: place a counter-weight or another hammer agianst the opposite end of the axle that you are tapping...this will make your hammer taps more meaningful).    Send me a picture if you are uncertain if these arrangesments will work on your case.  Measure your handle needs before bidding.
