You're looking at an original 1982 "JV" Stratocaster reissue. Fender got it's groove back in 1982 and got it back hard.
Japan cranked out some reissues that put Fender USA back on their "A" game - this is one of those.
This example is a "domestic" JV Strat - intended only for the Japanese market.
