Up for bid is my Yamaha Custom Shop LL5C - a handmade spruce and mahogany instrument from the mid to late 1980s. These highly sought handmade instruments are in a class all of their own. The quality and attention to detail on this guitar are lost on other "big box" manufacturers at this price point. Solid spruce top and African mahogany back and sides. These guys are somewhat rare. Sound is so luscious, great richness and sustain, but to me it's the playability, which is absolutely fablulous. You can find all sorts of testimony about the quality of the LL series from this period online. You won't find another 30 year old solid top guitar of this quality at this price! Outstanding bang for buck ratio.

The neck is smooth and straight, and action is awesome with plenty of fret life and saddle left. No cracks! No prior repairs! Finish below the bridge is a little dull from a removed decal (see pics). Minor scratches and pick marks. I purchased this guitar from the original owner. This one was made in Taiwan. I tried to get a shot of the neck block but it was difficult. It is stamped LL-5-C and the serial # is 201085. comes with a nice fitting old Martin hard shell case that works great but has a couple of finicky latches.
